New management group

Following the establishing of G2 Ocean May 1, Grieg Star has reorganised the company, and a new management group has been formed.


With the chartering and cargo operations of Grieg Star transferred to the joint venture with Gearbulk, G2 Ocean, Grieg Star has taken the opportunity to reorganise.

– The changes have given us the possibility to have a stronger focus on developing our services within ship owning, ship management and development, maritime manpower, green shipping solutions and terminals, CEO Camilla Grieg says.

Grieg Star owns or controls, as well as operates and manages, one third of the fleet of G2 Ocean, and will strive to make sure the tools G2 Ocean need are as good as possible. To ensure this, the Project Department and Ship Management Department have been merged into one: Ship Development and Management, under new COO Jan Øivind Svardal. His team members have been given more pointed tasks, utilising our high competence specialist more efficiently.

A new Shared Services Department includes quality assurance, crewing, procurement and office support, led by Chief Officer Shared Services Eli Vassenden. Finance and legal will continue to be under the supervision of CFO Annicken Kildahl.

A new area, Business Development, is under build-up, led by Chief Officer Business Development Vidar Lundberg. The scope is to utilize Grieg Star’s core competence in building new profit growing projects.

Henry Svendsen is the new Deputy CEO of the company, supporting Camilla Grieg and taking responsibility for companywide tasks and projects.
