Our Board of Directors

The Grieg Star Group Board of Directors is lead by Chair Camilla Grieg and meets regularly in Bergen and Oslo to stake out the long term strategies for the company. Board members abstain from board discussions if potential conflict of interests occur. Board members are recruited using independent executive search.

Camilla Grieg is co-owner of the Grieg Group, and a member of the founding family. She has an MBA with a major in finance from the University of San Francisco and is a Certified Financial Analyst (AFA). She is chair of the Board of Directors in Grieg Star Group and the operating units Grieg Star AS and Grieg Star Shipping AS. She is member of the Board of Directors in G2 Ocean, Chair of the Board of Directors in GC Rieber AS, and a leader of the Election Committee of DnB.

Michelle Williams

Ms. Williams is CEO of Grieg Logistics. She is educated at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy. She is a former anti-submarine warfare commander and navigation officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy. Ms. Williams has held several positions in Norwegian business, including Head of Department at Falck Nutec, Operations Manager CCB (Coast Center Base) and came to Grieg Logistics from her position as CEO of Europe’s largest offshore supply base CCB Mongstad. Prior to the CEO position at CCB Mongstad she lead the implementation of the new Statoil Supply Service contract at Mongstad. She joined Grieg Logistics in November 2016. Ms. Williams was appointed Director of the Board in June 2017.

Co-owner of the Grieg Group and a member of the founding family, Chair of Grieg Maturitas and member of several boards in the Group. Grieg is also chair of the election committee in Grieg Seafood and she is vice chair of G2 Ocean AS. Grieg served as the first female president of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association. Grieg has also served as Chair of the Norwegian Guarantee Institute for Export Credits (GIEK) and board member of Nordea AB, Norsk Hydro and Statoil.

Kai Grøtterud

Kai Grøtterud

Mr. Grøtterud is co-founder and CEO of the cement shipping company Eureka Shipping Ltd.  He has worked in international shipping and logistics for 32 years, based in Norway, UK, Australia, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Grøtterud has previously been Head of Maritime Logistics at fertiliser company Yara International, Executive Vice President at shipping company Gearbulk, Managing Director at Klaveness Maritime Logistics,  and  has held various other management- and board member roles. He has a degree in Transportation & Business Administration from MRDH, and management education from INSEAD. Mr Grøtterud has been a Director of the Board of Grieg Star since 2009.
Didrik Munch

Didrik Munch

Director of the Board

Mr. Munch has a long career in business. He has been CEO of newspaper Bergens Tidende, Chief Executive Officer of Media Norge AS and Schibsted Norge AS. He was previous Division Director of the business market at DnB and a police lawyer. Mr Munch sits as Chair of the Board in Storebrand ASA, as well as Director of the Board of Schibsted Media and Lerøy Seafood. He a holds a law degree from University of Bergen and has also education from the Police Academy in Oslo. Mr Munch has been a Director of the Board of Grieg Star since January, 2013.
